Fulbright Research Grant

As a Fulbright Research Grant recipient, I had the privilege of conducting research at the University of Georgia, Athens, where I focused on apramycin derivatives. During my time there, I immersed myself fully in academic work, contributing to significant advancements in my field. Beyond the lab, I engaged actively with the local community, fostering cultural exchange and building lasting connections. This experience enriched both my professional and personal growth, reinforcing my commitment to scientific research and international collaboration.

71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Foundation Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings/Germany

Since their foundation in 1951, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings have developed into a unique international scientific forum. The annual Meetings provide an opportunity for an exchange between different generations, cultures and disciplines. Once every year, around 30-40 Nobel Laureates convene in Lindau to meet the next generation of leading scientists: 600 undergraduates, PhD students, and post-doc researchers from all over the world.

I was selected for the list of top 2% of scientists that focuses on single-year impact (2019) according to a study carried out by Stanford University to assess the impact and consolidated influence of a given scientist or institution in the progress of scientific knowledge.

CAS Future Leaders 2020

The CAS Future Leaders program, organised by the American Chemical Society, awards early-career scientists with leadership training and a trip to the ACS National Meeting & Exposition.

International Visitor Leadership Program

“Advancing Women in STEAM Fields” was administered by the United States Department of State. For three weeks we explored policies of organizations and educational institutions championing the interest of women in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) and networked with several professional counterparts across the region. We visited five US cities: Washington D.C., Seattle, Akron, Boston and New Orleans.
